Artist Statement

My prints are a response to my fascination with the aesthetics and ephemerality of nature. I am inspired by both the simplicity and complexity of natural forms. My work is concerned with accepting that everything is in a state of transition and acknowledging the inevitability of decay, death and rejuvenation.

The digital artworks are produced by using a combination of manipulated photographs, scanned material and digital colour application which are then combined and digitally layered. I like to view my prints as an amalgamation of parts taken from nature with each layer representing changes that have taken place, life-cycles and the passage of time.
