“I begin my work by making a series of energetic paintings, dripping and throwing paint directly onto a surface with little or no control over what marks appear. Working intuitively I then select a single splash of paint, which becomes the starting point for a carefully considered and constructed piece of work. The marks I use present themselves and I re-present them using a combination of traditional and modern materials, which include wood, Gesso, Acrylic, and enamel paint.”
