“It interests me to explore what it means to be an artist at the current time within the context of our society and how art can affect the viewer when they are within its presence”.

“My work explores the idea of deconstructing language; by writing the same phrase over again making it illegible could therefore destruct it. The process of the artwork meant a lot to me as there was more emphasis of the feelings and meaning of the words as they were broken down and looked at with more concentration. My work also considers the relationship between deconstruction and reconstruction and how they are necessary components in practice; they need each other to exist in a cycle”.
